Master Aris Woodroofe
Chief Instructor, Tae Kwon Do
Master Aris Woodroofe has been training, competing, coaching and teaching Tae Kwon Do, since 1986. With a strong background rooted in Chung Do Kwan style, her career has taken her across the county and across the world to expand her knowledge of the Martial Art.
After becoming a Black Belt at the age of 10, her career progressed through the ranks to become a Master by the age of 21. Under the best masters in the country, her skills focused on precise kicking and fighting techniques with a specialization in the art's trademark forms or poomse. Her fighting career became accomplished as she earned state, regional and national titles.
Traveling to South Korea not only increased her fighting experiences, but also helped to fine tune her techniques and skills. Retiring from the ring gave her time to focus on her passion of coaching young athletes, winning their way to the top of numerous state titles and five coveted National Olympic medals.
In her professional and academic life, she graduated from Eastern Michigan University with Bachelors in Communication and Biology. After being awarded a full scholarship to the Graduate program, began her academic teaching career in the courses of Presentation, Speech and Persuasion.
After completing her Masters in Communication in 2005 she continued to teach for EMU for two years before branching into the corporate world. Currently, she is a Recruiting Manager for a national health care agency, managing professionals throughout the state's most reputable health care systems.Bringing to the table 13 years of dedicated teaching experience, her motivating attitude and detail orientated teaching style helps to create a discipline training environment that reflects strong bodies and minds.

Master Michael Trester

Master Michael Trester is a 4th Dan in Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do. In addition to Tae Kwon Do he has trained in Judo and Choi Kwon Do. Master Trester is certified as a S.P.E.A.R. Instructor (Spontaneous Protection Enabling Accelerated Response), and Ground Combat through Blauer Tactical Systems. He is also certified in Jeet Kune Do and Kenpo through Sifu/ Guru John Lopez of Survival Solutions. Master Trester has a strong belief in the defensive nature of Tae Kwon Do, and utilizes the techniques with a mixture of defensive tactics to bring a contemporary approach to martial arts.
In September 2011 Master Trester was certified as a Level 4 instructor in Commando Krav Maga. The testing was completed in front of Moni Aizik. Commando Krav Maga is a reality based self defense system featured on the History and Discovery channel.
Master Trester is a 21 year law enforcement officer, where he has served on uniform patrol, detective, Sergeant, Operation Lieutenant and Detective Lieutenant. In addition he is a tactical team member where he serves as Sniper Team Leader. He has served in both the United States Army Reserve, and the United States Coast Guard Reserve. His military training has taken him to South Korea where he increased his skill and exposure to the martial arts.
Master Trester is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and holds a Masters in Business Administration.

Camille Bauer
Tae Kwon Do Instructor
Camille Bauer has been in Tae Kwon Do since 1990. After moving from Michigan to Connecticut, she enriched her training under the prestigious Connecticut Chung Do Kwan Academy. Currently she holds a rank of 2nd Dan and is due to be promoted in the middle of this year. Based on her background and seven years of teaching experience she has helped to develop our Young Warriors program for beginning students. She is also involved as an assistant coach for the tournament team and brings excellent insight and experience to our young fighters. When she is not instructing at Kitchi Tae Kwon Do, she enjoys boxing and volunteering as team leader at Horses Haven in Howell, MI. As a graduate from Three Rivers in Connecticut, Mrs. Bauer is also an experienced archaeologist.
